Lake Simtustus
Camping is allowed at Indian Park for $12 per night. A pay station is on site and a camp host is present to answer questions. Camping is primitive; there are no R/V hookups; however there is potable water, trash receptacles, and composting toilets. Camping is allowed on a first come first serve basis.
Open April 26, 2008 to October 31, 2008.
(A) Daily Bag limit (1) Trout - 5 trout, 8 inch minimum length, no more than 1 over 20 inches. (2) Bull trout - trout daily limit may include only one bull trout, which must be at least 24 inches in length; no live bull trout may be held while angling. (3) Bass - 5 bass, no more than 3 over 15 inches. (4) Kokanee are considered as trout in the bag limit. (B) Personal watercraft, including but not limited to, boats, jet skis, wave runners, and wet jets, are prohibited from landing on the Reservation side of Lake Simtustus except at Indian Park. (C) All campers are required to remain within designated campgrounds. Trespassing outside of fenced boundary is prohibited. (D) Motorbike and ATV riding and possession of firearms is prohibited. (E) Dogs must be kept on a leash. (F) Water skiing, including boarding and tubing, permitted only in designated area North of Pelton Park store. (G) Speed limits on Lake Simtustus must be obeyed. (H) No wood cutting or gathering allowed. (I) Crawfish harvest is prohibited by non-tribal members.
Season and multi-day permits allows families to fish in Areas 1, 3 and 4 and camp within designated campgrounds in Areas 1 and 2. Daily Permits allows families to fish in Areas 1, 3, and 4 and camp within designated campgrounds in Areas 1 and 2. All persons must have a permit to fish in Area 2 regardless of age.
A family is defined as a husband and wife and children under the age of 14 years of age.
